Clearwater Qi arts specialises in the teaching of Qigong.

Qigong is a form of exercise which involves working with one’s posture, breathing and intention in increasingly refined and subtle ways to elicit deep relaxation, vitality and mental clarity. It can be practiced whilst sitting, standing, lying down, moving or when interacting with other people.

Moving practices occur at a slow, rhythmic pace while maintaining a state of balance, alertness and structural integrity. 

I emphasise an integrative approach so at all levels classes involve a balance of standing, seated and moving practices.  As we spend most of our waking hours standing, sitting or moving.  Practicing in this way provides us with the best possible chance of being able to integrate the benefits gained into our daily lives.
